Windows Defender is Turned Off

    Windows Defender is Turned Off


    and doesn't seem to want to enable.

    Question is; do I need it to be on, or CAN it be on, considering I am running MS Security Essentials?

    The installation of any third party AV software, disables the built in Defender...

    ah i see. even tho it is from MS, Security Essentials must be considered third party then.

    It more or less takes over for Defender. Totally normal.

Hello, Looked for a "Virus" sub-forum, but don't see any. So will post here, please. Last night, a horrible experience. Apparently some virus software organization put on PC something that takes over, completely and literally. Called Security Defender and Defender Pro 2015
Each time I restart the computer, Windows Defender pops up and asks me to turn it on. After I turn it on and restart, the same thing happens again. How can I get rid of this annoying message? I wanted to try to reinstall Defender, but I can't find it using Add/Remove Programs or Revo Uninstaller. ...
My question is whether or not this is normal. More importantly, is it safe? Should I turn Defender back on manually or use just MSE? Thanks!
It used to work fine, im scared that theres a virus, trojan or some piece of crap blocking it on my system. it wont start up and gives me an error when i try to start it, screenshot attached. Thanks. Tom
how can i get it to stay on and monitor my computer all the time? its always off...
