How to setup avast premiere to protect my dishmail.net account?

It looks like avast is setup by default to protect outlook express which I don't use I get WildeBlue through Dish so my mail is a dishmail.net account. When I look at the mail protection in avast there is no activity/scanning going on like the firewall shows? Thanks for all help! :)
