    PC Security.

    Hi Folks,
I visit this Forum & 2 others a few times daily.
    I normally don't have to log-in.
I did my last visit 7 hours ago, when finished, my Laptop was shutdown.
On my visit 7 hours later, I had to log-in to all 3 Forums.

To my knowledge, NO updates were made, and I never did any maintainence.
    -
My browser is FF, it is not programmed to clear anything when closed & have'nt used CCleaner.
I believe my security is very good as in my PC Specs. so what has caused this to happen.

The same happens to me at times George. I have no explanation for it though. It's very random but after some reboots the site's cookies seem to be "forgotten" for some reason.

My Maxthon browser logs me out of all auto login pages about once a month. I have always assumed this is due cookies renewing themselves, lease running out after a certain amount of time, especially because it's so regular phenomena. This means that once a month I need to login back in to all forums and other sites for which I have chosen to save credentials and have set auto login (remember me option).

It's not only the credentials; for instance Google Translate which I have always set to use Finnish, German and English is reseted once a month along with credentials as shown below. First image = my usual setup, second image = after the monthly reset:

    FF has automatic cache management.

IE does too, but I override it and have it set to a max of 10MB.

'How to Geek' recommends no cache clearing, as it can speed up page loading time.

Nothing new to add to this discussion, I just wanted to show this as what I mentioned in my previous post happened once again today.

Like a clockwork, once a month my browser logs me out from those sites where I have selected "Remember Me" or "Keep me signed in". I do not believe this to be a cache thing as Roderunner suggested because as you can see from the screenshot, login information is kept, I am just logged out and have to log again in with saved credentials. Also the Google Translate, as I mentioned in my previous post, has reseted to defaults and no longer showing my languages, which I have to set up again once a month.

I really do not believe this being a cache issue. In fact, for me it's not an issue at all, I have nothing against logging back in to my forums once a month, but it would be nice to know exactly what is causing this.

I must be the dummy for sure.
I use Ccleaner several times a day just to get rid of all the log in passwords ect.
I keep no auto log in anything. Every time I go to a site I just type it in again. Each site has a different password but after time I can remember them. For those seldom gone to sites I keep a log in my desk with passwords. I like to keep passwords close to my vest.
