You will find that the new Malwarebytes does at times overlap with anti virus programs with finding infections. It's doing a lot more than it use to but it still doesn't replace a anti virus program.
I believe that UNI me and many others agree on that.
I have only used MSE for years and can tell you it doesn't find PUP's, Adware and the like.
I don't know whether other anti virus do stop and or find them.
I think we can all agree that one should use the security programs that they feel comfortable with.
As the thread title states.
What is a good virus scanner that doesn't consume too much?
We will give suggested and what we prefer and then one has to choose for themselves.
If Malwarebytes ever makes a complete (anti malware, anti virus ect)
I will buy it.
