One should be able to use robocopy from another system running the same version of Windows to the affected computer.
If you're having issues please contact our Help Desk or open a ticket on the forum and we'll do our best to assist you.

    Thanks again

I am working with malwarebytes.org to fix this issue and if this doesn't work will try some of the other suggestions I've read here. Afterwards I will post a link to the solution. Thanks for everyone's help

If possible one of these options would be the best choice to get the system running again.

How to Do a System Restore in Windows 7

How to Run a Startup Repair in Windows 7

The first choice would be best as we should not need to run further updates or fixes. The second method would hopefully get you working but then we'd need to run some other restore fixes to put things back the way they were.

For some reason, I thought MBam made restore points when removing malware ... where and when did I loose the plot?

Just some questions I would like answered because I want to relay them to the
    Seven Forum.
    https://www.sevenforums.com/

    1. Is Malwarebytes free and Premium safe to update?
    2. What is the proper setting with quarantine?
    3. Is it safe to scan with Malwarebytes free and Premium?
    4. Has their been or is their going to be a update to solve this resent problem?

    Thank you for your help.

    Until AdvancedSetup returns:

If you are trying to recover from the 2014.07.26.09 database issue, please refer to this recent forum post by one of the MBAM Support Leads: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...s/#entry858788
any others who have had the same incident occur, please create your own topic here in the forums or submit a helpdesk request, but kindly do not do both.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT run the mbam-clean removal tool.

For one-on-one, free help in the forum, please start a new topic here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...-removal-help/
    OR
For one-on-one, free help via email at the help desk, please submit a ticket here: Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes Consumer Support

It would help if you could refer to the "2014.07.26.09 database" in your forum post or helpdesk ticket request.

They did answer my questions but they seemed to be more concerned about where I posted.

    1. Yes
    2. Quarantining for scan should NOT be set to automatic for scanning. You should choose to quarantine something rather than doing it automatically.
    3. Yes
    4. I presume you are speaking about Saturday's incident without actually mentioning it by name. Default quarantining is being reviewed.

FYI...updating and scanning was safe on Saturday early evening (may even be late afternoon, depending on where you are). Bottom line is that it's handled. and was a very isolated incident.

I hope this is help for some. It helped me.
