How to uninstall/disable FilmOn TV from Firefox

To begin with, I was not sure where to post this query. I am unsure whether it's a browser or perhaps security issue.

I have no idea how this began, but when I open Firefox, a second window (not tab) opens with FilmOn TV showing. There is no evidence of it in the programs list on my PC and it's not showing in the Firefox plugins or Add-ons lists.

Does anyone have any idea how to permanently dispose of it?

Hi Irene ... Looks as if you have picked up some adware .... Download AdwCleaner ...

Thanks for the swift response, Maxie. :)
I have run both AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes, but it still remains.

Any other suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Have a look in >> Uninstaller: C:\Program Files\FilmOn HDi Player\Uninstall.exe ... C:\Program Files\filmon hdi player

If that does not help .. Try the Link below ..

Yes, I do - in both IE & Firefox.

I just downloaded and ran Spybot - S&D, then rebooted.
I am on FF now and so far, no second window! I hardly dare to say it, but I may have sorted it. I'll report back later with further results.

    Thanks Maxie.

Most welcome Irene .. There is suppose to be a way to disable it by clicking on the Adblock Icon .. But that is ofcourse no permanent solution ..

Still no sign of it, so (for the time being) I will mark the thread as solved.
