    show what windows does in console

    hi, i often see it on some linux distrux like archlinux that there is a console window in the backround (like cmd.exe) which shows what is currently going on, like downloads, i-net connections, process that start/end , etc

    is smth like that possible on win7 & cmd or smth similiar?

    thanks

    @edit:
    e.g. with a .bat file. or a .exe file which u can move into the windows folder and run it like notepad.exe

    Use netstat command from prompt.
    netstat /? for switches
    netstat /b shows connections tied to app

    Put command(s) in notepad, save as .bat

    Perhaps you can find a command to put in .bat to make it repeat itself. Hrrmm, I think interval will do that. See /? :)

    ye thought about that too.. some loop which repeats netstat everytime. But i hoped for smth more advanced. like showing which program uses which connection. and only displaying when some connection closes or a new one opens. and also with some infos (e.g. which program is opening this connection). and also i wanted more infos :P

    e.g. : whats your current up/down speed, which programs use which kbit/s , do i download smth right now? if yes with which program and which file (like wget but just displaying) , showing cpu/gpu temp etcetc :P

    I want it in a simple console window as it would look good (okay nerdish) especially when that console window is transparent and has some other backround (a picture instatt of just black) and also stuff like rainbow or gadgets use alot of cpu/ram and are pretty laggy when playing.

    thanks :)
