    Free portable AV program wanted

Instead of waiting until I am desparate can anyone suggest a free portable AV program

Because I mentor dinosaurs (older than myself) I want to have a portable AV if their PCs are very sick.
In the last week I have had two infections (I think from hoax emails) that took me 2 days to clear up.

Today I discovered SuperAntiSpyware portable ... is not portable.
    - the download is an executable that "installs" SAS onto a PC and after uninstalling leaves a substantial collection of registry items behind.
    - CCleaner only found 3 of 22 items
    - I manually disabled the orphaned items with "_obs" affix.

When I ran the "extracted" SAS in its alleged portable "mode" the registry inherits another 7 new SAS keys

Any suggestions for a decent/acceptable emergency AV for PCs that are so "ill" only an inserted thumb-drive will do ? . . . .

this program is NOT an anti virus program--it's for spyware/malware removal
