    hi !

Tews: "So just make sure if you do get flagged files, you double check the files/location/online info, to be sure it isn't an FP before going ahead and deleting them."

well, the same applies to every other A/V too...

but some A/V´s delete files all by itself !
as an example a few days ago MSE "quarantined" one of my files.
i tried to stop it, but since there is no option in MSE to ignore a warning, it was deleted...
it was "Unlocker", which must be a FP, since MSE detected an option regarding ebay !?

in this case it was no big problem, because it was a very small file, just a few kB and i could very easy get a new copy, i even got a newer version.

I am currently running NIS 2010 and a2 side by side... all seems good so far, but the proof's in the pudding as they say..

I am currently testing A2 out. I noticed MSE detected me downloading EICAR test file, while A2 did not. Running a scan right now and lets see if it picks it up or not.

Doesn't A2 offer real time protection or am I dreaming?

If you are a experienced user please try the EICAR (quite harmless and you can read up on eicar if you want). Let me know if you guys pick it up on your scans because A2 fails this basic test for me

Atleast MSE and NIS pick it up, I just wonder how many scanners/antivirus programs don't pick up the common test file...hmmm. Well we shall see i guess.

    Post your results folks.

may i suggest that those results be posted in a NEW thread ?
this thread is about a-squared, not the performance of different programs.

    How does this work?

    I get this message:

An existing account for this email address was found! Please note, that only one free license per user can be used.

I don't have a license for that app.

I do have a user name and password with emsisoft because I had the free edition a while ago.

That is the always free edition.

Not the same as a license for this paid version.

When I check my account at emsisoft - it says I have no licenses.

    They are getting confused.
