    Uninstall Avast!

    Windows 7.
Whilst installing a one-year Kaspersky Internet Security disc I was warned that I should uninstall (free) Avast.
Avast does not appear in the list of programmes available for uninstallation.
How can I either turn it off or move it onto the 'Uninstall' list?
    Thanks for any help.

Thanks - answers don't come much quicker than that!
I will try it tomorrow morning, after finding out how to open in safe mode.
I will 'give rep' 'with quote' but I will also have to find out what they mean.
    Thanks, I will report back.

I have the same question. Step #2 says "Start Windows in Safe Mode" but doesn't say how to do that (I hate it when people assume everyone knows every little thing when giving directions). So, how does one do it?
