Shutting down PC when .vhd bitlocker encrypted file is mounted
Throughout my computing life, I've learned that it's important to umount drives. It still can be seen when devices like a cellphone or a pendrive are attached to the computer the advice of clicking to "Safe remove" the drive before removing it physically.
Now I have Windows 7 Ultimate virtual hard disks in .vhd format and encrypted using bitlocker. I mount them everyday, and I shutdown the computer WITHOUT dettaching that encrypted virtual drive first.
Is this that a problem for security?
Is this a problem for my files?
I'm concerned about a data lose, maybe corrupted files in the drive for dettaching by shutting down the computer without umounting first.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
