    Cannot download,no extensions,Ad's going crazy

    Hi everyone,
I have a strange 'event' happening with my Asos K55A,ever since I downloaded the latest updates yesterday(but that could be coincidence)
I cannot access extensions using the button on Firefox (latest version)with the 3 lines, nothing happens, but then I noticed lots and lots of Adverts where popping up,AdBlock plus was supposed to be running,it said it was.Thinking I was suffering a virus of sorts,I ran MSE which came back clear,Malbytes came back clear, but when I tried to run Adware,a pop up said it was out of date, then the who thing dissapeared!!
When I use Chrome everything seems OK,I re-downloaded Adware,re ran MSE and everything clear.
So I am thinking a problem with Firefox? This is a wild guess, and as I consider myself to be a very, very,un tech minded person (specially compared to people here,I'm lucky if I understand half of what you say, never mind actually do what you say-please remember this in any instructions you give, they cannot be basic enough for me) but am willing to learn without killing my PC.
Any advice would be wonderful, and I warn you now I have to keep popping off,but I WILL be trying to sort this problem.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
    Use Clean boot,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/179159-troubleshoot-application-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html
Click Start and type in the search box,
    msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
    Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,

Review Jacee’s instructions to run Adwcleaner here post #7,
Ignore the title of the thread,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/system-security/316404-instant-savings-app.html
Screen shot of the download button to use for Adwcleaner

You can use these free tools to see if they find anything,
Manually Update them before running full scans,
Try not to use your computer while the scans are running, (one at a time of course).
See this tutorial on how to download and run Malwarebytes,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/338716-malwarebytes-anti-malware-free.html
Also use the Custom scan option not the Threat scan,

Please Do Not clean/ Delete or Remove Any detections before posting the scan results first before review especially Malwarebytes,
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
SAS is safe to remove anything it finds
    http://www.superantispyware.com/?tag=SUPERANTISPYWARE
This one is the longest up to 4 hours, the others are only about 45 minutes,

I don't know for sure, but one of the kids friends was looking mighty 'innocent' when I brought it up this morning....but now for the good news. You see, this is why I don't come to forums like this much, they show me up even more than I normally do....I have to come clean,I fixed the problem...I am banning myself from doing anything on a PC without a proper adult supervising.st I
I am so sorry to of wasted your time, but the problem all along (apart from the internet) was happening because I had a window from some time last week still open, and for some reason was hidden.(You probably know what causes these things to happen)and whenever I was trying to do anything, for example in window 2,window 1 already had something on the go.Why this would cause the pop ups to go nuts I just don't knowI guess thats the effect I have on things.
It has made me realize that my devotion to Firefox is at an end,Chrome just has more sensible add on's for someone like me.I have been with the Fox for 5 years,it seemed more fun than IE but now practicalities win,I am not losing another PC.
Thanks again ThrashZone,I did learn how to take screenshots, but after that, all the checking each service had my head spinningbut at least I know a clean boot is not just when someone has re installed their OS.
Sorry again,I really was scratching my head over that, you know what they say about a little knowledge and danger.
