ESET won't install; BFE won't start

Noticed today that one of our client machines (Win7Pro64) doesn't have AV software on it. Attempted to push ESET, was unsuccessful. Started digging, found BFE errors and search led me to this thread.

Since every issue is different, I figured I'd post a new thread, in hopes that someone could shed some light on what's going on, and where I can go from here.

    Thx!

    rshores,

Please use the following diagnostic tools to help us get to the cause of your issues:

    Farbar Recovery Scan Tool:
Download: Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Download
Select the version that applies to your system.
    Save it to your Desktop.
Double-click the downloaded file to run it.

When the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer.
At the program's console, press the Scan button.

When done, the tool produces a log, FRST.txt, in the same directory from which the tool is run (Desktop).
Please provide the FRST.txt in your reply.

The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log: Addition.txt
Also post the Addition.txt in your reply.

Let's get a view of all services and dependencies scoped by the following tool...

Also, use the Farbar Service Scanner:
    Download: Downloading Farbar Service Scanner

Make sure the following options are checked:
    Internet Services
    Windows Firewall
    System Restore
    Security Center
    Windows Update
    Windows Defender

    Press: Scan

When done, FSS creates a log, FSS.txt, on the Desktop.

Please provide the FSS.txt in your reply.

    Thank you.

    Cottonball,

I uploaded the files as attachments; please let me know if I should paste them in instead.

    Thanks,
    RShores

--Edit-- Turns out the machine is 32 bit, not 64. Thx!

    one of our client machines...
Are you running a business, like a computer repair shop, or, something else?

The reason why I am asking is, these tools are meant for home users. A corporation machine may contain data on it that may be erased, or, the tools may identify a unique company program as a problem, etc.

The machine acquired a Rootkit at some point. Perhaps the owner made attempts to remove it, but, the damage is still there.

Just want to have an idea of what we are dealing with...

We're an MSP, and encountered some errors that we couldn't find our way through. This is one of our customers, we've just acquired them within the last 3 months or so.

    rshores,

My apology, however, I am just an amateur, and do not feel comfortable providing malware guidance to a Managed Service Provider.
