    Phishing?

    Hello all
I recently installed Google Chrome (1 week ago) and have been ok with it until this evening. I left my PC for a while and when I came back there was a window displaying saying that my Windows version was not an authentic licensed version and I needed to authenticate my windows and that the browser was not the correct browser for windows updates. I initially picked the button but then thought better of it and have reverted back to Windows Explorer with the ordinary Google.
Is this a scam/phishing attempt does anybody know or come across this please and can help.
    Thank you.
    Geoff

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
You can verify using Start and Control panel/ System on the bottom line it will show if windows is activated,

I'm not sure really what you mean by "reverting to windows explorer with ordinary Google" is ?

If the message pops back up take a screen shot of it
    Cheers.
