    Does ESET Smert Security 8 Provide Good Protection for Windows PC's?


    Does anyone here use ESET Smart Security 8 on a Windows platform? How does it perform. I already have a license and am about to install it, but would like to know if there is an ideal configuration (I read something about it it doesn't provide the best protection for 0-days and you need to change the HIPS settings). Any advice/experience/suggestions are appreciated.

    I've been using Eset products for years and presently have Smart Security v8 installed. Operation is smooth with a low resource impact and I have never been infected. That's about all I ask for in a security product.

    As far as a "best for you configuration" I suggest you present your question on the Eset user forum

utorrent downloads is very slow, and when disabling the personal firewall it goes up. I cant figure out what filtering mode to use..utorrent says a firewall/router is limiting your network traffic you need to open up a port so others can connect to you.
