Did you ever have the trial version (or paid version) enabled/installed ?
Here is the MBAM page that shows the Free version doesn't have scheduled updates and scans.

Could be a bug with the latest version, but i think many others would complain ...
Yes, I earlier used a premium license. But I want it as an on-demand scanner only. So I like to use the free version.
That might explain it.
There are probably still some scheduled things that the free version can't access/control, but they still run.
If you have a paid license you're not using, you could activate it, and remove all scheduled MBAM tasks.
Or, run the MBAM-clean and reinstall the free version.
If you have a license, you should be able to configure everything so it works like the free version.
Yea mbam premium has some crazy defaults,
You can limit the premium version to on demand scanning easy enough,
Just remove the default updater and scanning task and add a new one,
But for 10tp yes the free would be much better
Wow I was gone for a few hours and this has went from Free version to maybe Trial version and now Paid for version.
My suggestion would be remove all of Malwarebytes and reboot. Then install only which version you want.
Arc I'm not understanding why you don't want the Premium version.
You can set it to do what you want or set it not to do what you don't want.
Here's the MBAM uninstall instructions with a link to the MBAM-clean uninstall tool:

Yes, I can.
As you keep an eye on my posts regularly, I can share my view about it with you. Perhaps you have noticed that I sometimes suggest users to not use their regular antivirus products and use MSE+MBAM as a test basis. As per the forum traditions I should not suggest for paid programs regularly, it will be a form of spamming. Specially from a member like me who post a big lot daily. So I need to suggest for free MBAM.
When I suggest something to the other members, I should be aware of it on a regular basis. Otherwise it will be a worthless suggestion.
The premium MBAM license that I have is a gift from a forum member/leader who is a great friend and a great source of support and inspiration for me forever. Still I sometimes dump it and use a free version, to check what it has at this moment.
There are other couple of arguments for using free MBAM which is beyond the scope of this issue.
Cleaning and re-installing MBAM did the job perfectly!
Thanks a big lot to Mike, Jack and David! You guys are awesome!
