Pc Safegaurd - Is This New?

Just exploring the latest build and came across this in the User Controls. Not something I've seen before or heard mention anywhere

Looks interesting for anyone sharing a PC with other users

    Hi Nigel,

This may help some more with it. It does look like a needed nice feature for sharing.

Thank you Guys, I thought I'd read everything on the forums but must have been sleepsurfing 4 weeks ago .

Does seem a useful option for multi-user PC's but the one thing that would be nice is some way of locking all but certain folders - for example public folders.

may put in a feed back report - suggesting it

    Hi
The link doesn't work. Have anyone tried using this safeguard?

so, is this function hasn't been released (because they haven't developed it perfectly), or it will no longer be released? Is there any other similar software offered freely by MS for window 7?
    Thanks:)

Steadystate is the previous technology which worked up to Vista. It would appear that it is not, (yet?), compatible with win7.

Hopefully Microsoft will rectify this soon as this type of function is an essential for shared public access computers. Whether they will make Steadystate compatible or complete work on PC safegaurd, I am not sure
