    Security Defender / Defender Pro 2015 Virus/Trojan ?

    Hello,

Looked for a "Virus" sub-forum, but don't see any.
    So will post here, please.

    Last night, a horrible experience.
Apparently some virus software organization put on
PC something that takes over, completely and literally.

Called Security Defender and Defender Pro 2015
    Makes PC totally unusable.

Anyone know anything about it, and how to get rid of it ?
(surprisingly, PC seems O.K. this am, but am very worried will return)

Hints on getting rid of would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Robert11,

    Here is a removal guide:

Security Defender and Defender Pro 2015
Security Defender and Defender Pro 2015 Removal Guide

    Another option is herdProtect:
Download > herdProtect - Anti-Malware Multiscanning Platform in the Cloud
It is a second line of defense malware scanning platform, powered by68 anti-malware engines.

If you still have problems after following the above, then please do the following...

Please use the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool.
    Download: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/
Select the version that applies to your system.
    Save it to your Desktop.
Double-click the downloaded file to run it.

When the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer.
At the program's console, press the Scan button.

When done, the tool produces a log, FRST.txt, in the same directory from which the tool is run (Desktop).

Please provide the FRST.txt in your reply.

The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log: Addition.txt
Also post the Addition.txt in your reply.

    Thanks!
