OS deleted and restored during updates

early this morning my pc did its updates. needed to restart. k.
after restart and windows opened there was the grey box from adobe that said i needed to update adobe flash player so i clicked download and poof power went out.
then pc restarted, came back on whichever. i chose start normal mode as always (never had a problem) so before it opens i see all these file names on a black screen being deleted. ahhhhh now what do i do.
do as i see the screen files are being replaced.
    then pc opens up.
is that ok. did that have anything to do with updates, was it adobe hacking jibber ?
am i ok or do i need to do restore point.
seems to run ok, ran superspyware and avast all came out ok.
    please help.
    thank you
if you need to know i have windows 7 home premium 64 bit

If I understand your question, you are mostly concerned about the lost documents, since everything else is working again. To get your stuff back, download the free shadow explorer.

When a computer is in the process of performing a function, and the power is shut off, you can lose everything that is in the file. That is what happened to you

I do understand your concern. My immediate reaction is that you do not have a problem. I truly feel that the power went out at the wrong time and caused these problems. If it were my computer and I was concerned, I would:
    Run an anti virus scan
Download and run a scan with malwarebytes
Run a scan with Eset online.
If these come out negative, I would just tell you to relax and enjoy the computer
There really was an update to flash, since I had to update, too.
You will not lose your stuff if you make a restore. If that makes you comfy, go ahead and make the restore.

i was hoping it was cuz the updates, my security is the main concern. when you see os files deleting and replacing without doing it.........you see red flag.
    thanks for your input.
