    How to remove the administrator account back?


    Hi all
    Administrator account in Windows 7 is deleted by mistake. Standard User login now I am, and I do not have any privileges.
    How to remove the administrator account back?

    I accidentally deleted the Administrator account on Win 7 and the only way I was able to recover was to reinstall Windows. I tried the various suggestions here and on google searches but was never able to fix it.

    You can try:
    - download NT password recovery and registry editor Offline Windows Password & Registry Editor
    - make the bootable media, instructions in page above
    - boot into it and change registry as follows

    Change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Setup\SetupType to "2".
    Change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Setup\CommandLine to "cmd.exe".

    Boot to your harddisk as normal, a command window should pop, write (this should add your regular user to the administrators group):

    net localgroup Administrators [UserLoginName] /add

    Hope this helps (I got the registry edit part from the net, not sure if it would work)
