I have MBAM Premuim + paid AV (F-Secure), but I trust Applocker / Software Restriction Policies and Sandboxie more

I had to tweak EMET so it would work with MBAE.
Malwarebytes recommends to only use MBAE to avoid conflicts with EMET. Or make sure MBAE and EMET doesn't protect the same applications.

I use MBAM Premium (have a lifetime subscription, which is awesome)... and I've run into no issues so far. I also use adblock on all web browsing, which is a huge help.

Hi, Bill (and others who are using ONLY MBAM Free or even ONLY MBAM Premium):

    Just a friendly reminder:

    • MBAM Free provides no real-time protection -- it is only a manual, on-demand scanner. It cannot prevent infection -- it can only remove infection that has already made it onto the system
    • MBAM Premium does provide real-time protection against zero-hour and zero-day threats not targeted by an anti-virus. It is designed to be run alongside an anti-virus to provide complementary, layered protection, as advocated here and elsewhere, to help prevent infection.
    • However, NEITHER MBAM Free NOR MBAM Premium is an anti-virus.
    • And NEITHER MBAM Free NOR MBAM Premium is a substitute for a robust, real-time anti-virus.
    • See here: Does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware replace antivirus software?

    Cheers,

    Hi Archie,

I use mbam free, MBAEfree, MSE (real-time on), windows firewall, and spywareblaster free.

I run mbam and SASfree quick scans weekly with monthly full scans.

Windows 7 - I currently have MSE, Malwarebytes antimalware free for occasional scan, superantispyware for occasional scan and remove tracking cookies, zemana antilogger paid for, adblock on Firefox.

I used to have Norton 360 and nothing else - for 7 years - no problems and it removed tracking cookies via tune-up. But the new Norton doesn't seem that compatible with Windows 7 so have gone back to MSE and MBAM on two machines. Zemana antilogger is to save me having to use the onscreen keyboard for banking and passwords plus protection against keyloggers.
