    File Permissions Will Not Allow Deletion


    Hello,

    When I plug my WD Passport into my laptop and try to delete a folder I get an error saying I need to provide administrator permission to delete this folder.

    I click continue but then I get "you require permission from administrator to make changes to this folder" and the only option is to try again or cancel.

    I am an administrator and it doesn't matter which owner it is. Everyone has full control but I cannot delete this folder.

    Any ideas?

    Try downloading the "TakeOwnership" registry key and once its installed use the right click take ownership menu on the folder see if that works :)
