    Can you turn UAC off for a specific program?


    Can you turn UAC off for a specific program that you use regularly?

    The short answer is no. However there is a way to create a shortcut to that program that will not prompt for permission.

    Hi, Very useful thread. But suppose, the program would start after doing 14steps without UAC. But what if you have to choose one more step to auto process the exe file for which you have made the shortcut

    Ccleaner has a option in the settings you can turn on to bypass the uac prompt, so the shortcut is not even needed.

    Hi, This is for all the programs, which user may not want for security reason. I want this to be enabled only for particular pgram. Could i do for one program bright blessings
    Will it not be risk if it is enabled for all programs

    Thing is, ccleaner has it chosen by default on install. That is why I am a little confused why its prompting you with UAC.
