Can't uninstall MSE from windows 10. Help please

So I upgraded from win7 to windows 10. And I had MSE installed on windows 7. Now windows defend is pretty much the same thing as MSE. I've disabled mse but its running in the backgroud. I've tried uninstalling and I'm getting an error: 0x8004ff6f And says" You don't need install MSE." Saying that I already have another version like MSE. But I'm trying to uninstall it.

Things I've tried. I used revo uninstaller and managed to get rid of the MSE icon from the task bar. But the service is still running in the background. Now I have two MSMPENG.exe running in the backgroud. I also tried deleting the folder from program files but I need permission from system. I even enabled the hidden admin account still no luck. I even installed the regedit take ownership and still nothing.

Can someone please help me out? I just want to get rid of mse complete from windows 10.

Hello. THanks for the quick reply. I am having the same problem as him. Looks like I will have to roll back to windows 7 and then uninstall and then upgrade again. Kind of silly, MS haven't sent even a update or something to fix this. Anyways thank you for the help and i'll check out the windows 10 sub.
