I am loading a service (one that backups my system) that needs access to the network. So, I gave the service my username and password. Every time Win7 starts I get a UAC prompt asking if I want to run the program.
How can I get rid of the prompt? I've already entered the username/password when I setup the service. I'd think that would be sufficient security, but its not.

I'm having the same issue. UAC causes so much compatibility issues I'm really debating whether to keep it on or not...I'm new to using it and don't want to be too quick to judge though, so I leave it on for now.
It causes 2 of my games not to work, and one of my programs I have to type in the admin password each time I turn it on, which is the problem OP is having. The program that does this for me is peerblock, I want that to startup with windows like it does in XP, but it won't, even after I changed it to run as admin under properties>compatibility tab.

I've used it for selectively starting some startup processes without UAC prompt. After installed, find the process in task manager, right click and select "Silent Elevation".
When setting a task to run with administrative privileges you cannot just go and use your user account, it does not have the correct permissions. However...use the "Administrator" account or even "SYSTEM" account.
The service is Cobian Backup. I'm backing up to a file server on a network, so whatever account I use must have access to the network.
