    Cannot block some pop-ups

I keep getting many pop-ups and flashing warnings about bad performance when using some sites eg ti.com [ using Chrome ] - I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

I have blocked pop-ups via control panel, set top security etc. and run both Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows-KB890880 malicious software checker - nothing is found [ quick scan, full takes 8 hours ] ]

I get a message stating that I am a BT user and I have NOT blocked pop-ups - ring TOLL FREE etc. etc.

These are driving me mad. Also I cannot seem to download recommended IE 11 [ If that would make any difference ]

[ I have another machine , Windows 7 Home , using IE with Malwarebytes running that doesn't have this problem on same network ]

You`ve been invaded, you downloaded something without clearing check boxes, Slow Down

Uninstall Chrome, and use ccleaner to cleanup the registry, remove any chrome folders in program folders x86.

    Install and run MBAM.

No way should a MSE scan take 8 hours.

There`s no reason you can`t download IE11 through Windows update.

Go through add remove programs and uninstall anything that looks odd.

    Re install Chrome.

PS In ran Microsoft Security Essentials to make sure [ Full Scan ] - This scanned 2.8 million objects and took over 12 hours. It found 2 threats.

I later installed MALWAREBYTES : It scanned 360,000 objects in 20 minutes and found another 1491 Threats !
