    CryptoWall Ransomware

    Hi guys!

Yesterday I got the CryptoWall Ransomware Virus and I re-installed my Windows.
Today I realized that I had a DVDinside the DVD-RW when I got the virus. My question is if my DVD is fine or he's virused as well...

I don't think it would affect your DVD. That usually just attacks hard drives/network drives. Although you can never be sure with those things. There are new strains coming out all the time.
Was there anything important on the DVD?

While there is a possibility the files "could" be encrypted, I don't think the actual virus (.exe) will be on the DVD so it's highly unlikely it will spread by putting into another pc. Cryptolocker doesn't really work like that.
Like I say, there are new versions of those crypto viruses coming out all the time though so you have to be very careful.

You may want to look into installing this
    https://www.foolishit.com/cryptoprev...re-prevention/

While it can't clear an already infected machine, it can prevent infection on another one.
