Advice for using VPN services is needed.

I found this list of VPN reviews using Bing:

    Best VPN Software

Is anyone here using any of them? Does anyone here know which are actually the safest to use?
I would appreciate any advice about using VPN's.

I am interested in a VPN because of a game I play that has 'mods' written for it by many people around the world. In many cases I cannot download the mods due to speed limitation, or usually I cannot get to the website, some websites are blocked somehow.

I've used Witopia for several years. Originally I used only their VPN software. Recently, however, I moved on (up?) to their Cloak Box router. Overall, I'm not impressed with the router-based service. It's always seemed somewhat sluggish and flaky.

On my laptop, Android phone and iPad I use VPN.ac. I like them better than Witopia, primarily because I simply trust them more than Witopia. I realize that's really ethereal and very personal/subjective.

Both providers' throughput levels are comparable, I think, and customer service is "Good" at Witopia if not slightly better at VPN.ac.

Personally, I think after my router-based subscription with Witopia comes to an end, I'll switch full-time to VPN.ac, barring any significant, negative issues.
