Windows 7 built in Defender is as useless as handlebars on a peach.

I would suggest to get you started after you have installed Windows completely to use MSE. It will allow you to at least search the internet for different anti virus programs and other security programs.

MSE is free from Microsoft; when you install MSE it should turn off Defender.

Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

I use MSE and Malwarebytes Premium on both of my system and have for a long time without any problems.

Why doesn't ReadyBoost show up under Services ?
I was just checking in the services.msc and noticed that Ready Boost isn't in there. I remember in Vista it was but it would appear that's not the case in Win 7. Why did MS remove it from the services ? Superfetch is there though
