    AdBlocker Sofware / Download Removal

I have noticed that my Outlook, MSN and various sites have started to show AdBlocker in the corner much to my annoyance, which I think has come fro, recruitment websites, I have recently visited. Is there any free software to remove it? My OS is Windows 8.1 and using the free AVG software and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

    Thanks

AVG is the likely culprit....replace it with Defender to test the hypothesis.

I'm sure I used to use Defender when I was running Windows XP and found it not very useful. Tried Avast for a while and that was a OK that's when I switched over to AVG. Now AVG 2016, asks for you to log in. Now have uninstalled and running Defender - the ads are still there - strangely on one of my Outlook Accounts and not the other and also on Home Page (MSN) - any suggestions? Thinking it may take a while or there might be some settings in Defender to alter? Thanks

Windows 8 and W-10 Defender is not the the Defender in Windows 7 or older.
Windows 8 and W-10 Defender are more like MSE just with a different name.

Thanks for the advice there, uninstalled AVG and now running Defender - still got the same issue with ads appearing, now have established its AdChoices. Not what I initially thought it was, had a look online and seen some different advice on how to get rid. Any ideas of an effective method for Windows 8.1?

Has anyone had experience with 'Adblocker' software - is it worth a try? Cheers.
