Ran Combofix - now cannot open explorer, control panel, kaspersky etc!

I ran combo fix before doing my research - SORRY SORRY!!!! Can anyone help me with this issue. Now I cannot open explorer, kaspersky, control panel etc. I am using Chrome browser on Windows 7. When the combofix ran it did indicate that it set a restore point.

Prior to running Combofix the system had been running slow and I had uninstalled a couple of programs that appeared to help but then ran across a posting of combofix which I thought would be another added measure of cleanup.

I cannot install and run the FRST logs because after downloading the exe file the run box will not open nor am I able to open explorer to run the file.

    Thank you,

Lemmie guess, you do have full images of your OS partition, correct? After a local computer shop ran ComboFix and what else, I had to do a restore to a previous OS partition to fix the fix.

    Hi:

    Welcome.

Is this the same computer as this one with an open, working thread at another forum?
HELP!!!! I'm an Idiot - Ran Combofix - Cannot open explorer, control panel ETC - Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs

If so, as a general principle, "too many cooks spoil the soup", especially for complicated, severe problems.
