    Followed the instructions on bleepingcomputer suggested by Microsoft's forum and it seems the nasty ass virus is gone! Thanks for all your suggestions derekimo and simrick!

    Be glad to! I followed the directions as displayed on the page without having to make a rescue drive.

    Remove the Your Windows (Microsoft) Computer has been Blocked Alert
