Windows 7: Is Windows Update a Virus

windows 7 home premium 32bit

Hi Roland. The PC was operating fine until WU. Then Windows Explorer (Library) started opening by itself and disabling the keyboard and powering off the PC.
That's why I was wondering if WU was a virus

Windows Update brings virus on PC???
Hi all.. After a recent update, I found that 3 of my PCs running Windows 7 had Avira reporting a virus ( C:\Users\User\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\cmd.exe) One of them , I also caught it being reported WHILE the update was being installed. isn't this weird??
