    MSE Compatibility with other tools

I have MSE installed plus Malwarebytes free and Super antispyware (for occasional checks). I have just installed Zemana antilogger paid for (after suspecting I have a keylogger) and am just wondering if any of these programs will conflict. Thank you.

    I use
    Microsoft Security Essentials (active)
    Malwarebytes Anti Malware (active)
    Super Anti Spyware (on demand)

With no problems. I have never known those three product to cause problems with other programs that I use.

I have never used Zemana so I really know nothing about it.

Thank you. The only slight issue I have noticed so far is at start up a small window pops up saying "Deleting from discovering items" and a green bar goes across and it disappears in a few seconds - as if deleting something. Which is slightly perturbing when I haven't deleted anything.

That's a very disturbing thing to hear! And you're taking the wrong route here if that's the case.
First of all, what's your reason to think you have a virus, and specifically a keylogger? It's impossible to know from here, but without strong evidence I'm hesitant to just declare anything a virus without a second though.

But if you really have a good reason to think so, filling your computer with as many crapware antiviruses as possible is a terrible choice. Once you have a confirmed infection, you MUST REFORMAT, NOW. There is no other reliable way to ensure a clean system again, as you don't know what the virus actually does.

Antiviruses are OK in a known clean system, and only as a prevention tool (and only of moderate efficiency), but in an infected system they're simply not enough to regain confidence of usage of a compromised system.

Thanks! Nothing on the computer made me suspect it, and no antivirus or MBM or Adware or anything else picked anything up. Have legal dispute with a neighbour unfortunately who seems to know everything I write! So I don't have a confirmed infection. And bought Zemana thinking it would find anything or block anything. So you think I should reformat and do a clean install?

I would recommend not using anything WiFi. Your friendly neighbor might be picking up your WiFi signals it is not protected properly.

That's what I was trying to work out! Scanning the computer didn't pick up anything (and I ran Malwarebytes anti rootkit beta) as well as Zemana. I'd have thought a firewall would protect the wifi element. But our phone line for the internet does run along their house wall. It's a pain. We'll be moving soon, but meanwhile I'd like some privacy! I thought if Zemana was supposed to prevent intrusions that should sort the wifi element?

Have reset my router and changed password and ssid and turned off WPS and Upnp. I guess that will help.

I'm starting a new thread on this as it now seems to be about wifi/router security.
