Hi:
AFAIK All discussion in this thread, and here and in similar forum threads relates to the Home/Consumer version.
AFAIK Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Business is still on version 1.80.
Business Products Life Cycle
The company uses its Home users/customers as the test bed for their products.
The Business versions always lag significantly behind the home versions, after they fix what's broken for consumers.

Hi:
Just to clarify, there is no such thing as Malwarebytes "Pro" any longer.
The paid, consumer version was renamed to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PREMIUM (MBAM Premium) in March 2014.
Curiously, the new product released on December 8, 2016 has been renamed as just "Malwarebytes 3.0" (they dropped the "anti-malware" part).
However, the Free version is still "Free" and the paid version is still "Premium". There is no "Pro" version.
Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (Free and Premium) has been rolled into the new product.
The standalone version of MBAE is now MBAE-BETA, as it will be in perpetual beta.
(Improvements to the beta product will then be rolled into Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium.)
And this consumer/home user product line is separate from the Business/Enterprise version (which has also undergone several name changes over the years).
Cheers,
MM
Anybody know if the developers for Malwarebytes 3.0 are the same developers for MBAE-Beta?
If yes, maybe they're overworked, over extended, sleep deprived, or all of the above.
If no, maybe they should talk to each other once in a while.
(Sarcasm intended.)
I don't see anything curious in that, they're clearly trying to get away from the very limited "anti-malware" image in order to emphasise their claim that this version does away with the need for a separate anti-virus product. Additionally, they now own so many different companies and products that relate to things other than malware specifically, all of which are gradually being incorporated into one giant catch-all product, that I can quite see why they're keen to lose that image.
Incidentally, I entirely agree with your wish to see that claim independently peer-reviewed.
I uninstalled MABE 3.05 cause it was too buggy and it was finding false positives in programs I've ran before. So everyone know's I've had to uninstall in Safe Mode cause it has some sort of self protect that won't let you uninstall normally. I won't go back til its all sorted out and its stable.
They will have to do something
both the free and paid versions of it are having major compatability problems with W10 insider preview builds.
(last released 1 week ago).

The way that malwarebytes as a company seem to be pushing Version 3 at all costs I would imagine them just saying that they do not support Insider builds - until they are released as full versions, a lot of software developers take this attitude with Beta software especially Operating Systems
