    [Moved] Google Chrome advertisement malware

    Hello

I am pretty sure either my PC or my google chrome have been put to pop up a new window from a website called contentlikes1.com . They display various messages to "install" plugins for various like generations and similar which i have never used or want to use. The window opens by itself and other than that i haven't seen any other changes.

Any information i can check out on how to fix this ? googling it did nothing.

PCHF SCANSPlease download Adware cleaner from the link below.
    Malwarebytes | AdwCleaner
    Save it to your desktop.
    Right click run as admin.
    Hit the scan button.
    Allow completion.
Make sure all items are ticked.
    Hit the clean button.
Even if no items are displayed to be ticked hit the clean button anyway.
The machine will reboot this is normal.
Post the log in your next reply.

so far so good. I will monitor the situation but i am pretty sure this probably fixed the issue
Any idea where it could have come from? i rarely use the pc for anything than gaming ( facebook and steam are like the only things being opened ) . Should i be worried?

EDIT: it didnt work. i get some Flight search app .com ... AND Film fanatic.

    Well in that case try:

    https://www.carifred.com/ultra_adware_killer/

You need to actually whitelist some items when running this utility. Run a scan and inspect results. Add entries that you need to keep to the whitelist via right click menu.

    [Moved] Google Chrome advertisement malware-ultra-adware-killer.jpg

To manage whitelist click Menu > Whitelist Manager

    [Moved] Google Chrome advertisement malware-ultra-adware-killer-2.jpg

Run a scan and if you are not sure what to whitelist open the logs folder where you should find reports. Upload the results.
