    replace roguekiller

    Thanks for any suggestions.
I am finding RogueKiller to be a very bad program.
Suggestions for other program I could use to replace it.

    Hi phenix,

What exactly are you trying to get rid of or protect yourself from?

    I hope this helps!

    Hi phenix,

It might be worth looking at CCleaner [uncheck the Registry section] and Glary Utilities?
They are both FREE and keep your system nice and clean. I have used them both for years and run each of them every couple of days or so!

    I hope this helps!

    Roguekiller

    Thanks for replying MR. BLACK.
I also have been using Ccleaner for years until the bad things were
    reported about CCleaner.
I use mainly Wise Disk Cleaner now with an occasional Ccleaner clean.

I don't understand what you mean by [uncheck the Registry section] and Glary
Utilities]. I don't even see Glary Utiliies. Where would I uncheck the registry
section? Would be so kind as to explain in more detail Please.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant uncheck the Registry Cleaner section in CCleaner.
Glary Utilities is another great FREE program and can be found here: Glary Utilities 5

    I hope this helps!

Thanks again Mr. Black. I will take a look at the Glary Utility.
So I gather from your wanting to uncheck the registry part
of Ccleaner that it is not reliable and might cause problems?

For what little good they really do, compared to them seriously mucking up the registry, my advice to you would be to stay well away from ALL registry cleaner programs, unless of course, you know about the registry and are confident with amending/changing it.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Phenix,

RogueKiller is primarilly a Rootkit utility program.
For a more complete system checker i would use Farbar - FRST.
follow this link it also comes with instructions

    Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

note BleepingComputers have a vast array of support programs.

Rkill is not a program that can be used for precautions, it's a program that kills known malicious processes that can prevent normal security programs like MSE, MBAM, ESET, Adwcleaner and FRST to be used for removal. Rkill is a tool that should only be used when you are already infected, NOT to prevent infection.
