Virus information
I was scrolling through music to play in windows media player and a playlist was placed into wmp without ever adding it. The music playlist was on the file explorer folder page. What type of virus could do this?

Hi I really do not think it is a virus, but have you ran scans with your av and or malware scan?

I highly doubt it's a virus or anything related, for many reasons, at least from the given description.
Most likely it was a one-time user mistake that ended up adding a playlist without realizing, or activating an unknown feature accidentally, that happens quite a lot! What happens if you simply delete that playlist? Does it ever come back or something?

Did you scan your system with your resident AV or with malwarebytes? We need the scan results to answer your question.
You can also follow the instructions below to upload the file to virus total:
Please follow these instructions to find the location of file:
- Click Start then click on Search.
- When the Search Results window opens, click on All files and folders from the list.
- In the next window type or copy and paste "badfile in question" into the Search box under All or part of file name:, then click on the drop down arrow to the right of the Look in: box and click on Local Hard Drive (C:).
- Then click the Search button.
Submit the file for analysis.
Click here > Virus Total, to submit the file by following these instructions below:
- Click on Choose File to open the File Upload window on your computer.
- In the left side panel, scroll down and click on Local Disk (C:)
- Follow the path to the below to find the file:
C:\path to questionable file
- Once the file is found, click on said file, then click Open. This will place the file in the Search Engine at Virus Total.
- Click on Scan it!.
- If you receive File already analyzed, click the reanalyze button.
- When the analysis has completed, click on View last analysis at the bottom of the page.
- Copy and paste the url from that page into your next post for me to access.
