Help! Spyware showing lots of hidden files

I have super anti spyware program on my computer and when it runs, it shows me that there are apparently lots of files on my computer for numerous websites I have visited. I am not very computer literate but it looks like these websites are following me when I pursue other websites. This makes me very uncomfortable. I tried to follow instructions for seeing hidden files on my computer, but cannot find the way to actually view the list itself. How do I find out and eliminate for good all these websites from spying on my activities. I do not do anything covert or go anywhere that I would be embarrassed for anyone to see, but I just don't like being spied on. I could see that some of the websites listed I have not visited for many months.

Maybe they are cookies, I am not very computer literate, but what good does it to delete cookies if they come back on immediately even when you have not visited that website for months.
