Support has not ended for Windows 7.
Security and other updates will be provided until January 2023.
Integrate7 and 7UPDATER and Simplix UpdatePack7R2 are some of the tools discussed here that can help you keep it up to date.
Windows 7 in all of my computers is currently up to date to March 2021.

Go HERE to download and save the 1 MB size UpdatePack7R2+.exe file.
Double-click that saved file to start the download process of the current version(21.3.23) of Simplix UpdatePack7R2 which is 792 MB in size.
Depending on the speed of your internet connection, it may take several minutes to download.
When the download process is complete, a message will appear and tell you the current version has been successfully downloaded.
Before you use that UpdatePack7R2-21.3.23.exe file, rename it UpdatePack7R2--++.exe (exactly as you see it here with no space between any of the characters).
Double-clicking it will start the update process, which may take an hour or longer.
Do NOT use your computer for any reason while it's updating.
Make sure to turn off or disable the antivirus app BEFORE you start.

Is Windows 7 currently in your computer up-to-date to its official January 2020 "end of life"?
    Or is it very out-of-date?

I provided you with a download link and detailed instructions on how to obtain UpdatePack7R2 21.3.13 and how to use it.
If you don't have the confidence or knowledge to do it, ask someone who does to help you.
