I recently installed AVG full because McAfee was being a dickbutt and not updating for Windows 7. I'm also using MalwareBytes.

I am very happy about them.

My friend uses Optus' Antivirus, his computer is slow as hell and I think viruses might be a factor. Anyone know anything about that AV?

I've never heard of it. Is it free with an ISP?

Free for the first 12 but it's probably the same quality as a free one.

The ISP is Australian aswell lol, so it figures.

FREE Optus Internet Security Suite (Anti-virus, Anti Spyware, Firewall) This seems to be it, there's not a whole lot of information on it right there. I am currently with Optus (fast speed, ****ty quota) but I don't want to download their AV and disable my own incase I get over 9000 viruses.

i don't really trust win 7 firewall but i have to see the options available for it.
i'm reluctant to use comodo free, as i remember it annoyed me with constant pop ups and i haven't tried my current xp firewall, online armor, in win 7 64 yet.

Avast and Ad Aware for me! I'm evaluating MSE on my XP based laptops. Avast doesn't slow my system and gives me "realtime" protection. Ad Aware is my backup, and I use it to get rid of tracking cookies and any other ad or spyware. A great 1-2 punch, and free.
