    error applying security

I have another user setup with standard settings and want to set them up to be able to play Civ IV without me the admin having to enter the password everytime they want to play it.

It's in C:\Games\Civ IV, so I've tried changing the permissions of users\ to modify and write enabled. However I get the 'error applying security' message with no prompts as to how to solve the probem!

    Any help would be grateful.

The interesting thing is it applies the changes anyway, even though it tells me I'm not allowed - security flaw!

    Hi okran and welcome

Why dont you just crate a shortcut for it and give it run as admin privledges?

Thanks for the speedy response Ken, very much appreciated.

I've just tried that and unfortunately the game says to insert the correct disc into the disc drive... even though it is. If I logg off and log in as myself instead it asks to confirm the program will make changes to the pc and when I select yes it runs no problem.

Is there another way I can get this game to run on another user account?
Also do you know why it lets me change folder permissons and yet it tells me there has been an error changing permissions and I don't have permission to change them?

All I would like to do is run a game without entering the password for a standard user.

Surely this is possible after 7 generations of windows??
