It takes 3 programs to uninstall Norton,. First RevoUinstaller,. which starts Norton's Uninstaller,. then Revo goes on to remote leftover files and registry entries, then you need to run the Norton Removal Tool to finally get rid if it.
I know of no other company that proves a tool to remove their own program.
Can't one of their developers write a correct uninstall routine.
I can't put any trust into a program like this,. let alone the bloatware and speed hit.
I think you got it all mixed up.
Norton Removal Tool should uninstall it completely.
You don't have to use anything else first.
Even then, you only need to use that 'one' remover when the uninstall doesn't work properly. With NIS 2010 it uninstalled perfectly fine for me. Just don't uninstall with firefox open, doesn't remove the addons properly. :|
