Restoring item from quarantine in Malwarebytes?

I think I accidentally restored some malware from quarantine so I need to know if I did or not. So there is only one way I can find out on if I clicked on restore or delete- by having this question answered:

Do you get some kind of warning message if you click on restore like you do in SuperAntispyware?

Because I don't remember getting any message when I clicked on delete or restore.

Also, Malwarebytes doesn't work well anymore when I do a full scan so don't ask me to scan the computer again. This started happening after an update and only quick scan seems to work without freezing the computer and when I did do a quick scan, nothing was detected. So, I decided to uninstall it and install Emisoft's a-squared and nothing was detected during a deep scan. Nothing was also detected when I scanned the computer using Avast and SuperAntispyware. I've also read somewhere that a2 has better detection rates than Malwarebytes so because a2 did not detect anything, did I successfully remove the malware and my computer is clean?

If you took a scan and the results were negative you are ok. Because you do not have a virus, but you are still concerned. Do a system restore back to a few days ago. Then you will be sure.

What do you mean by 'if the results were negative?' (I'm only 13 ) and if Malwarebytes detected something, would a2 detect it as well because it has a higher detection rate?

Do another scan and if you get the Malware back in the scan then you have restored them. If you get nothing in the scan then you have not restored them :)

As far as I know the detection rate just indicates the percentage of virus that the A/V catches as to those that it misses.

The best A/V, with the best detection rate can miss a virus, if that company did not classify something as a virus.

What I meant in my prior answer is that since you scanned for malware, using different A/V, you are probably safe. There is very little that can be guaranteed. Furthermore, if you do a System Restore to an earlier date, the virus will be removed (even though I fully believe that you are ok.) Possibly even your A/V will begin to work properly again.

Microsoft has a great free A/V MSE Microsoft Security Essentials. Why not try it, made for windows.

Finally, Happy Holidays-Such a great time to be young. I envy you.
