Final version is 5.0.377. Last update the other day was .373
Tried to update from .373, said it was up to date, so maybe newer final version isn't available thru the program update yet. Clean installed it, is 5.0.377
so does nobody use Security Essentials or would i be better of uninstalling it and using Avast
I like the new interface, it's very much improved and looks more professional. It installed without any problems, uninstalling the older 4.8 version in the process. The registration key was carried over, and it was registered automatically. I also like how, if you have protected the program with a password (which I strongly recommend), that when you try to access it you have 60 seconds within which to provide the password, after which access is automatically denied.
