    What's new
    Most notable improvements include:
    - stability improvements in the Behavior Shield
    - an attempt to solve the compatibility issue with MBAM Pro
    - improvements in the rootkit scanner
    - solved a vulnerability in AavmKer4.sys (Windows 2000/XP only)
    - firewall: low-level packet rules are back in the Expert settings

It never has in any version. They haven't built the boot time scan to work with x64 as of yet. They say someday, who knows when though.

    Hello Yowan,

Yeah, the boot scan only works when Avast is installed in a 32-bit OS instead. There is currently no support for it in a 64-bit OS yet.

    That's why I use KIS2010, Avast5 is fully x64
