    I thought it might be the Avast update that caused the letters to appear on pressing the Alt key, so I tried it before & after the updated version was installed on my Desktop PC, the letters appeared on both.

    Since upgrading to the latest Avast version, FireFox is even slower to start, installed & portable versions.
    I get 'New Tab' on the top left corner for about 20 seconds before my home page (Google) opens.

I recently ran a scan with my Avast anti virus program. Several Threats found came up in the results. There we're options to delete or isolate them. I tried both but nothing happened. How do I get rid of these viruses for good? Thanks. Hal. __________________
