    Hi what is avast like?
    Highly recommended.
They have made a lot of changes to the beta version.
The UI is improved and resources usage is very low as compared to a paid AV.

    Attachment 38018
is it a internet security or just antivirus?

Its just an antivirus. Internet Security will be released with the final release of Avast.

Avast not only keeps the PC clean but also protects your e-mail from viruses. It really is a great program. It does not slow down your computer like other ones do.

I've used Avast for awhile now, and I have it set to auto update. It updates at least once (and as many as three) times daily. That's how I know how they stay on top of things. By the way a video link came up with the update today. I think they have reached the 100 million mark. I don't care what anyone says, but Avast is the best antivirus on the market. And also, they have a free virus cleaner tool to download. It's small and you manually run it as necessary.

It is not recommended to install and use more than 1 anti-virus program on a system at any one time.

I agree with Dwarf, it is not advisable, and could be dangerous, to run two antivirus programs on the same PC at once. However, if you would like to compare what works best for you, you can disable (or pause) one to try the other out. But never have two on together.
