    What's the situation when it happens? Doing anything specific? Haven't had any errors for quite a few of the last versions. Maybe try using the uninstall tool to get it off your system, then download and install again fresh.

    I haven't had any errors either. I have mine set up to automatically download and install new versions of the program when they are made available.

    The only problems that I have with Avast is that it drops my speed from 40mb/sec to 20mb/sec ..

    No problem. Don't ever have that problem either, my speed is the same with everything enabled, or with everything disabled.
