Hello sister & Happy New Year to you,
To better enable us to help you please fill in all of your system specs.
[User CP - Your Control Panel - Edit System Specs.]

Also list the other Security progs that you are running - Anti Virus, Anti Malware, Defender etc.

Did your computer come pre loaded with an Anti Virus Prog. If so, what was it?

    Sister,
Can you please supply details as per my post above.
Also which version of AVG are you using?

    Hi, Sister.

If you have the free version of AVG, it does not include a firewall. Only the paid/licensed version of AVG includes a firewall.

From Microsoft, To turn on Windows Firewall

    1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall, and then click Windows Firewall.
    2. In the left pane, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Just a slight correction there Corrine,
There is a subtle difference -
I have the paid / licensed version of AVG 9- no firewall included.
[The other two paid / licensed versions do have a firewall included.]
